Ken Schneider
Adapx CEO Ken Schneider has more than 20 years of senior level P&L accountability and management experience in product management, marketing, business development and strategic planning, and product engineering delivery, for a wide range of venture backed technology companies and industry sectors.

He served in several Senior Director level roles at Microsoft Corporation including MSN , Consumer Products Divisions, Platforms and Tools, and World Wide Sales and Marketing groups. He was responsible for the launch of Microsoft’s worldwide E-commerce platform as well.  Ken was both president and founder of Advantage Factory, a Microsoft Certified Partner that provided professional services in program management, business analysis, business process re-engineering and delivering complex, case study level .Net, SOA and Microsoft server-based software engineering solutions to enterprise and federal customers.

Phil Cohen
Phil Cohen was most recently professor and co-director of the Center for Human-Computer Communication in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Oregon Health and Science University.  Cohen founded NIS in 1999 as a spin-off of the Oregon Graduate Institute (which was later renamed the Oregon Health and Science University).
During the past 30 years, Cohen has done pioneering research in the areas of multimodal interaction, multiagent systems, and human-computer dialogue.  He has been President of the Association for Computational Linguistics, a Fellow of the American Association for Artificial Intelligence, a Scientific Advisor to the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research, and participated in a National Research Council panel that reviewed NASA’s Pioneering Revolutionary Technology – Engineering for Complex Systems program.

William Newman is managing director at Northwest Technology Ventures, a $14 million Oregon seed fund focusing on technology-based startups and spinouts from the research sector in both life sciences and technology.
