How it Works

With Adapx Capturx solutions, you don't have to change how you work:

  • The Capturx system process illustratedCollect and capture information in the field using the Penx digital pen to annotate drawings, maps or journals. As you write or draw, Penx converts the information to digital ink.
  • Upload data directly from Penx to an existing computer system using the Dox USB docking station.
  • Integrate field annotations with the original map, drawing, journal, database or form using Capturx software to interpret the incoming data.

The Capturx solutions consist of three key components:

  • Penx digital pen. The field-ready Penx writes with normal ink on paper while a sophisticated built-in digital camera and image processor store the annotations in memory.
  • Digital Paper. Virtually any paper becomes digital paper by imprinting it with a special pattern of almost imperceptible dots called the Anoto® pattern. With any basic PostScript printer, you can print as much Adapx Digital Paper as you require.
  • Capturx software. The digital ink from Penx is integrated with your OneNote, ArcGIS, AutoCAD application using the Capturx software  to interpret the data and apply it to the application you are using.

Pen, paper and software...

Connect the Penx to your computer to incorporate field notes into the source documents. Recognize text and symbols, or store information as digital ink.

Together, these three components enable solutions across a variety of construction, industrial, military, and service provider settings. The Capturx solutions can deliver in demanding situations requiring immediate access to high-resolution information and data recording.
