Capturx helps military teams and intelligence agencies streamline field data collection using paper forms, GIS maps, and building plans marked up with standard digital pens. Handwritten data on forms for facilities, logistics, and personnel management are automatically integrated into Excel reports.
Handwritten GIS map markups for infrastructure, geographic data collection, and tactical planning are automatically integrated into ArcGIS. Redlines and notes for building plans automatically integrate into the original CAD files. Notes from field journals are automatically backed-up and available to share through Microsoft Office.

notes and GIS map updates from the field
• Military Medical Teams are using Capturx to help streamline
the diagnosis and treatment of wounded warriors with head
injuries and to triage battle casualties.
• US Army facilities managers are using Capturx to streamline
the paper work and data entry for soldier in and
out processing.
Paperwork for facilities inspections, logistics management, and personnel records can be easily automated with Capturx Forms for Excel. Teams simply work with forms in Excel and print them on ordinary paper through Capturx. As forms are filled out, digital copies are created. When the pen is docked to a PC, data is automatically converted and integrated into Excel in the right formats, for automated reporting and issue tracking.
Field teams can print GIS maps on ordinary paper in small or large formats with Capturx for ArcGIS. Printed maps are taken to the field and marked up with the digital pen. GIS data updates and annotations are stored on the digital pen and automatically integrated into the original GIS geodatabase.
Form data can also integrated into ArcGIS from Excel tables through a simple database join providing an easy way to automate field asset inspections.
Using Capturx for OneNote, notes written in all-weather “Rite in the Rain” field journals are automatically backed-up into Microsoft Office. Teams can convert the handwriting to digital text, which can be shared through email and other Office applications.
