Capturx helps utilities and pipeline operators more efficiently inspect and manage pipelines, transmission operations, and facilities. With Capturx software for digital pens, handwritten GIS map markups in the field are captured as actual GIS features and automatically integrated into ArcGIS. Handwritten data in inspection forms, service requests, and work order reports are automatically aggregated among team members and integrated into Excel.
Immediate return on investment
• Better operational visibility and compliance with instant access
to field asset conditions in ArcGIS and documented with Excel
• Reduce costs by eliminating data scanning and re-entry from
paper forms and maps
• Improve efficiency with better service and maintenance
resource planning and optimization
Teams print GIS maps on ordinary paper in small or large formats with Capturx for ArcGIS. Printed maps are taken to the field and marked up with the digital pen. GIS data updates and redline annotations are stored on the digital pen and linked to the original GIS geodatabase. Docking the pen to the computer instantly updates the GIS database without any scanning or re-digitizing paper-based information.
Common forms for inspections, service requests and work orders can be easily automated with Capturx Forms for Excel. Teams simply create and print forms using Excel and ordinary paper. As forms are filled out, digital copies are created and stored on the pen.
Data from multiple team members is automatically converted and integrated into Excel in the correct formats, for automated reporting and issue tracking. Form data can also be integrated into ArcGIS from Excel tables through a simple database join, providing an easy way to automate field asset information without the cost or time of scanning or transcribing data on paper.
