Adapx Digital Pen

cutaway pen image The Adapx digital pen called Penx is a sophisticated computing device that converts any  handwritten paper-based information into electronic data that can be modified, manipulated, or shared in applications you already use.

  • Adapx digital pen converts handwritten forms, field journal notes, sketching, and comments on maps and satellite images into digital data. With Penx, you don’t have to change the way you have always worked with pen and paper—only now you are collecting your handwriting and sketches digitally and in real time.

  • Adapx PenThe digital pen looks and feels like a regular ballpoint pen—but contains an integrated digital camera, an advanced image microprocessor, and a mobile communications device for wireless connection. As you write, the digital pen takes digital snapshots of your writing in conjunction with a printed pattern (called an Anoto® pattern) on digital paper. With more than 75 snapshots per second, our digital pen determines what is written or drawn, and all this data is then stored in the pen’s memory until you upload it into a Microsoft Windows®-based computer.

  • In addition, Penx Fisher pressurized ink pen cartridges, filled with Rite in the Rain® proprietary ink, enables you to write in any position and in any condition. And because Penx stays charged for five to seven days of typical use and holds up to 50 pages of letter sized paper, Penx is highly reliable and available.
