Dr. David R. McGee, Chief Technical Officer
McGee worked 20 years at the Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory (PNNL), one of nine U.S. Department of Energy multi-program
laboratories. Before leaving PNNL to found Natural Interaction Systems with Phil
Cohen, McGee was the Chief Scientist and Technical Lead of the Rich Interaction
Environments research area, which specialized in designing and developing
advanced interactive systems. David received his BS in computer engineering from
Washington State University. Working with Dr. Cohen, he later received his PhD
in computer science at the Oregon Health and Science University. Their research
together on multimodal digital paper was awarded a patent and is the foundation
of the company’s first set of products.
