Welcome to Capturx Mobile for BlackBerry 1.6 software! Written for customers and partners, this document addresses issues that are not discussed in the User Guide. This document may be updated periodically as more information becomes available.

System Requirements
For current Capturx Mobile for BlackBerry system requirements (devices and OS versions), visit http://adapx.com/node/408.

If your organization plans to use Capturx Mobile with BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), required settings are in Appendix A in the User Guide.

Versions of Capturx Mobile for BlackBerry
Adapx recommends that all customers and partners on supported devices update to the most recent version of Capturx Mobile for BlackBerry. If your organization is currently under an Adapx Software Assurance agreement, you qualify for a complimentary upgrade. If you have not received a download link via email, please check with Adapx Technical Support.

If your organization is not covered by an Adapx Software Assurance agreement, please contact your Adapx Sales representative for more details.

Installation and Uninstallation
Before downloading and installing Capturx Mobile for BlackBerry 1.6, you need to uninstall the previous version. To do so, open Capturx Mobile on your BlackBerry, go to the Capturx Tools screen, and select “Uninstall”.  Once the uninstall process is complete, follow emailed instructions to download and install version 1.6. Once the new version is installed, you will need to re-enter login information and settings into the “General Configuration” screen.

New Features and Enhancements in Capturx Mobile for BlackBerry 1.6

• Support for BlackBerry/RIM 6
• Emailed ink will be automatically saved as a draft, in case you don’t send it immediately.
• Support for installing through BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES)
• New “Diagnostics” settings enable you to send detailed logs to Adapx Technical Support in case you need their help with an issue.
• Support for the markup utility card (changing digital ink and thickness) which comes with Capturx Markup for PDF software.
• GPS configuration has been simplified to one setting (“Off”, “Preferred”, or “Required”), and integrated into the General Configuration screen.  “Off” is the default setting. For more details, please see the Capturx Mobile for BlackBerry 1.6 User Guide.

Known issues – Use with Capturx Server Solutions

Each time “General Configuration” settings are changed and saved, Capturx Mobile will check your server login information. This can cause the “Save” action to take longer than expected if your network connectivity is slow. Also, if the login information cannot be verified (typo or network connectivity issue), the changes won’t be saved.

To install and use Capturx Mobile with BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), several BES settings may need to be adjusted. See Appendix A in the User Guide for more details.
