Question
Why did the installation of Capturx for ArcGIS Desktop fail?
Answer
This could occur for two reasons:
1. ArcGIS 9.X desktop is not installed on your computer. To fix this problem, install the ArcGIS desktop application before you install Capturx for ArcGIS Desktop. Note: Capturx for ArcGIS 1.2 supported at ArcGIS 9.3, Capturx for ArcGIS 1.1 supported at 9.2 and 9.3.x.
2. The installation may fail if ArcGIS 9.X desktop is installed, but .Net components from ESRI are not installed. If this occurred, you will see the Adapx dialogue box:
“ESRI ArcGIS 9.X with .NET support not found on this system. Capturx built for ArcGIS 9.X Desktop or later with .Net support to be installed"
Once this occurs, the installation of the Capturx for ArcGIS Desktop will roll back. To correct this situation, you will need to:
1. Go to Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs.
2. Select Uninstall/Change.
3. In the ArcGIS Setup dialogue, select Modify.
4. From Options dialogue, select the .NET Support component.
5. Select Next to complete the Installation.
Once this is done install Capturx for ArcGIS Desktop again.
