Jim Dreyfous co-founded Utah Ventures (now Pelion Venture Partners) in 1986 and has been a Managing Director since its formation.  After more than 25 years his passion for building companies continues.  Jim personifies the Pelion culture and approach; he is active with business founders and directors, experienced in building and developing management teams, and adept at accessing strategic relationships to help companies to attract management expertise and capital at every stage of a company's growth.  Jim spent his early career in commercial banking, oil and gas production and distribution, private investments, and small business management.  Jim serves on the Utah Science, Technology and Research (USTAR) Governing Authority Board where he was appointed by the governor and state legislature.  Jim is a graduate of Middlebury College.
