
Andrew Lee is welcomed to Adapx with over 15 years as a senior leader in business development and sales, he has led breakthrough revenue results and profitability turnarounds for both privately held startup companies and publicly-traded organizations.
Andrew was recognized as a key force behind the explosive growth of Zonar Systems in the RFID space, as well as the emergence of Microvision (NASDAQ: MVIS) as a five-time Deloitte & Touche "Fast 50" Growth Company in Washington State. At Zonar, Andrew's successful initiative to re-organize the sales organization led to an increase in revenues from $6m in 2006 to $13m in 2007 and $25m estimate in 2008. As a result, enterprise value grew from $20m to over $60m in less than two years. He managed a team of 35 and managed an annual budget of $3.5m. As a member of Microvision's executive management team, Andrew was responsible for building a worldwide team that generated revenue from zero to $20m in record time with the company's partners in the commercial, military, medical and industrial markets. Three times – in 1998, 1999 and 2001 -- Andrew was awarded the prestigious Frost & Sullivan "Market Engineering Market Strategy" Award in the defense category for sales growth. Partnering with Microvision executive team, Andrew led road show presentations to the financial community, which raised over $200m in equity financing; these events included investor conferences, analyst interviews, retail investor inquiries and annual shareholders' meetings. Prior to Microvision, Andrew led the business development activities for ADB Industries in Burbank CA, the premier fabricator of precision assemblies and components for the defense and aerospace industries. He achieved Boeing certification in record time, along with their "Small Supplier of the Year" award based on the company's performance on its first contract. At ADB, Andrew won multiple contracts from tier one suppliers – including McDonnell Douglas for the Apache Helicopter Program.
